Sivan Harary received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, in 2009. She was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2011 and the California Bar in 2012. She also received a Master’s Degree in International Human rights from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in 2009, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2001.
Her experience with employment-based immigration includes both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, and PERM labor certification. Additionally, Ms. Harary has experience with family-based immigration petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status, U visas, asylum, VAWA, and consular processing. Ms. Harary has defended clients in removal proceedings, including those with criminal records.
With an interest in human rights, Ms. Harary was an Immigrant Rights Fellow with the International Institute of the Bay Area of Oakland, CA and has volunteered for several nonprofit organizations in Denver, CO and in the Bay Area. She studied Inter-American Human Rights Law in Costa Rica and International Human Rights Law in The Netherlands. She has studied and/or worked in Spain, Costa Rica, The Netherlands, and South Korea. Ms. Harary is proficient in Spanish.
